Job Overview We are looking for passionate and professional individuals to join our team as Baristas/Bartenders. This hybrid role combines the craft of specialty coffee with the responsibility of alcohol service. The ideal candidate is committed to hospitality, detail-oriented, and eager to represent illy Caffé by delivering consistent and memorable guest experiences. Pay $12–14/hr base + tips (average tips range $2–8/hr) Duties Provide exceptional customer service with warmth, professionalism, and respect. Prepare espresso drinks, cold brew, and specialty coffees. Mix and serve wine, beer, and cocktails following café standards Verify IDs and follow alcohol service policies Assist with inventory and ordering Handle POS and cash accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café Work collaboratively to support smooth daily operations Alcohol Enforcement Policies: ID Verification: Check valid government-issued ID for all alcohol purchases Refusal of Service: Decline service to anyone underage, visibly intoxicated, or purchasing for minors Accountability: Report alcohol-related concerns to management Training: Policy training provided during onboarding; external certifications (e.g., ServSafe Alcohol) are recommended but not required. Experience Previous barista and/or bartender experience of 2 years is required. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of various coffee types is advantageous. Experience with POS (Toast) is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
